This feedsack came from a unbelievable estate in Medford, Oregon several years ago. The gentleman was still using an outhouse as house had never been updated...built about the turn of the century. He left millions to the city for a Children's Park after living like a pauper a good part of his life. The boxes to be be auctioned off had been altered by unscrupulous bidders. I had my eye on a Civil War baby blanket as well as some really wonderful fabrics & feedsacks. I had never been to an auction before so wasn't wary. But, surprise, the ones I ended up with had several turned inside out and a new design was on the outside. I didn't find the bears until a couple of weeks later so I was very pleased. I already had most of the trees squares done (no reason, just liked the stencil) but had to make it fit as I went along. The green is available as a reproduced product so it matched perfect. I'm sorry my pix aren't better but promise a good one when it is finished.
