I bought a large batch of these squares made in the 1930s. Whoever did the original applique was a real master! Originally the embroidered part was pencilled in with what seemed to me to be too much black. I copied a face pattern from about the same era to simplify the overall look. The blue connecting fabric is a reproduced product. There are 35 blocks total so it will be a good size quilt. Don't worry....Zorra is a super cavy who is housebroken.
